E! Online is reporting that Kara Dioguardi tried to quit American Idol 2 months ago:
“She went to Fox two months ago and told them she didn’t want to do another season, ” a source tells me. “She’s ready to move on. She did two years and thinks that’s enough.”
Big problem right now for DioGuardi is she’s probably still contractually obligated to do the show if Fox tells her to. “It’s frustrating because she can’t even take any meetings because everyone wants to know what her schedule will be like but she doesn’t know, ” the source said. “What happens if Fox tells her they still want her for next season?”
According to sources, Kara still hasn’t heard from FOX about the upcoming season.
So, what do you peeps think. Spin from Kara’s peeps? Or did she really want out? I’m thinking there might be a little face-saving spin going on here…
I mean Kara’s dad said in a recent interview that she WANTED to do another season! So, what’s the deal?
Kara’s rep did not immediately comment. A Fox rep declined to comment.
