Sources tell E News that Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galvais is no longer wanted by ABC as a contestant for Dancing with the Stars.
ABC does not comment on casting rumors, however, insiders who work on the show tell us that Juan Pablo initially was under serious consideration for a spot as a contestant on DWTS’ season 18, but is “no longer wanted.”
“He’s just too risky,” says one source connected to the show. “There’s too much negativity at this point.”
This should come as no to surprise to folks who have been following the latest season of The Bachelor. First, trouble began to brew when Juan Pablo shared the reasons why he felt a gay version of the Bachelor would be a bad idea, and in the process used the word “pervert.”
He blamed the gaffe on the language barrier. But anyone watching him look for a wife on the show knows he’s just an asshat. Two of the contestants ditched him. Just this week, Andi Dorfman, called him a self-centered asshole as she headed to the door. Apparently he spends a lot of time talking about himself.
He also slut-shamed Clare after he agreed to a midnight swim with her, and then regretted it later. He continuously uses his daughter as a shield and a way paint himself as highly a highly moral and caring man. Meanwhile, he’s making out with loads of women on the show. At this point, it’s pretty clear he’ll go down in history as one of the Worst Bachelors Ever.
Frankly, I would have been shocked to find him in the DWTS cast. He’s been angling for the spot all season, bragging about what a good dancer is.
ABC will announce the new cast of Dancing with the Stars on March 4 on Good Morning America. The new season begins on March 17.
