On the heels of previewing “How Bout Now (Remix)” a broad shot aimed right at her ex-boyfriend, Jason Derulo, the American Idol season 6 winner drops her first mixtape, Bye Felicia.

The singer announces that her next album will be titled Right Here, Right Now and will be out early 2015.  The album will include the songs from Bye Felicia and MORE. You gotta listen to the ENTIRE mixtape for the big scoop.

“I was trying to figure out just a whole bunch of different things that I could say,” Jordin says about the title, “I feel like that statement…One? It’s really funny. Two? It just applies to my life right now. I don’t have time for certain people and certain things. So. Bye Felicia!”

For those of you wondering, “Bye Felicia” is urban slang. Basically, it’s another way to show somebody the hand.  “Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out,” would be old person’s speak. Ha.

The mix track seems to be a way for Jordin to reconnect to her fans, and express a few frustrations.  Her ex, Jason, not only dumped her, but couldn’t stop blabbing to the press about it.  Jordin finally tells her story. But she lets the music do the talking .  Bye Felicia is also a bid to position herself as a hip, urban artist.

“…that you won’t double tap that ho…”  With 2 Chainz. Jordin Sparks. All grown up now.
