American Idol, season 14 singer, Joey Cook, is back with a new cover for Postmodern Jukebox.
This time, Scott Bradlee and the band are reimagining Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” as if it were written for vocal harmony groups in the ’60s. “Somehow, the lyrics work perfectly,” says the caption in the description notes.
If Amy Winehouse were still alive, she might cover Destiny’s Child kind of like this.
Like what you hear? You can see them live! Currently, Joey, along with fellow Idol alums Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart, are on tour with PMJ. Check out the tour schedule here. Season 5 Idol, Blake Lewis, joins the band in December.
