Jake Hoot has officially unveiled the music video for his new single, the country power ballad, “I Would’ve Loved You” duet featuring Kelly Clarkson.
Premiered on Monday (Feb 1), the music video features Jake and Kelly wandering around the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles emotionally delivering every word of the emotional song. Directed by Taylor Ballantyne, the powerful video will make its CMT broadcast debut on Wednesday, February 3rd between 6:40pm and 7:00pm EST.
Written by Hoot, Dean Sams and Jamie Floyd, “I Would’ve Loved You” reached No. 3 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart upon its release. The ‘painstakingly beautiful’ (Country Now) track is the lead-off single from The Voice season 17 winner’s debut EP Love Out Of Time, which reached No. 2 on both the iTunes All-Genre Albums and Country Albums Charts upon its release.
Following his win on NBC’s The Voice, Jake has gone on to release several tracks including charitable song “Tennessee Strong,” which reached Top 10 in the iTunes Country Singles chart, Top 35 on the iTunes All-Genre Chart, and benefitted the survivors of the deadly Middle TN tornadoes.
The team Kelly Clarkson champion also released debut single “Dangerous Thing,” special Father’s Day song, “The Best Job I Ever Had” and heartwarming love song, “Nadine.” Drawing inspiration from his childhood in the Dominican Republic, Jake released a cover of “La Bamba” from his debut EP on November 6th, which landed in the Top 10 on the iTunes Latin charts.
