Paula Abdul — $10 Million For Your Thoughts

We confronted Paula Abdul head-on with our story that she will return to “American Idol” for a cool $10 million. Trust us, it’s true, but Ms. Abdul played poker after landing at Burbank airport.

Sadly, our cameraman got it wrong by asking Paula if she was bent out of shape because she felt disrespected by Simon. She legitimately answered “no.” The truth is — even more than the money, she Twitter-quit because she felt disrespected by “A.I.” execs, who agreed to pay Ryan Seacrest $15 mil a year, Simon Cowell a gazillion a year, and Paula a puny $4 mil a year.

Idol Thoughts: Top 9 Paula Abdul Video Moments

When we think about Paula Abdul’s eight years on American Idol, the words journey, magic, gorgeous, star, jewelry and “Simon!” come to mind.

But that’s only because we’re pretty sure Paula once told a contestant, “Your journey of magic is just your gorgeousness and you’re already a star, ” while fiddling with her big ol’ rings, after which she turned to glare at Simon Cowell, who was rolling his eyes.

Or something like that. You sort of always knew what Paula was going to say, but the excitement lay in waiting to see how it would come out.

EXCLUSIVE: Posh Judged Harshly In American Idol Debut

Everyone agreed that Victoria Beckham looked lovely as she showed up for her first day of work Friday as an “American Idol” guest judge. But that apparently is where the compliments stop.

“It didn’t go too well, ” a source close to the production told RadarOnline.com exclusively. Posh Spice was apparently quite bland.

“She tried to hard to be ‘nice, ‘ but came off as icy and wooden, ” the source added.

Country star Kellie Pickler dazzles sold-out crowd

Country music star Kellie Pickler didn’t win “American Idol, ” but she had no problem winning over the audience Friday night at the 141st Wisconsin Valley Fair.

Neither the cool weather nor the lingering threat of rain kept fans away. Pickler performed for a packed crowd and sold out 700 reserved seats.

Pickler, 23, rose to fame in 2006, when she became a contestant on the fifth season of FOX’s “American Idol.” While her singing voice and Southern charm were enough to get her a place in the competition’s coveted top 12, Pickler was ultimately eliminated from the competition, coming in sixth place.

‘America’s Best Dance Crew 4’: Sundays Are For Worship. And Shane Sparks.

So You Think You Can Dance has only been over for three days, and I am already going through seriously methodonish withdrawals. But luckily, SYTYCD season 6 starts in only three weeks, and in the meantime there’s Shane Sparks’ other shiz-hot dancing show, America’s Best Dance Crew, kicking off its fourth season tonight in its new Sunday slot. Because, as the MTV slogan says, Sundays are for worship.

Backstage at Thursday’s SYTYCD season 5 finale, I had a chance to chat with Shane about what to expect from ABDC4. And as you can see from the clip below, we were both pretty frickin’ excited. How could we not be? And I was particularly psyched and intrigued to learn that this season, the show will welcome its first openly gay and transgendered crew.

So You Think You Can Dance Gets it Right

Did anyone see this one coming? Not until this week, I’m almost certain. For the first half of season five of “So You Think You Can Dance, ” Jeanine Mason, an 18-year-old contemporary dancer from Florida, was mostly known as the partner of pop-and-locking phenom Phillip Chbeeb. Sure, she’s been a lively, funny and strong dancer the whole time ‘” and managed to wow the judges with her hip-hop, tango and jive skills, long before picking her own style more than a month after the season began. That’s when, finally, she and partner Jason Glover made jaws drop with a beautiful, sexy performance (complete with lip-lock), choreographed by season-two vet Travis Wall. She showed that she could turn off that quirky, 1, 000-watt smile and embody whatever other emotion the dance called for.
