Katy Perry is super excited to be a guest judge on American Idol. She let her fans know, via twitter (@katyperry) that she plans on being a bad-ass just like her hero, Simon Cowell. Plus, she’s going to teach those kids a thing or two about show business!
Ok, I must confess, I’m SO excited to guest host on American Idol. I think Simon & I are gonna get along famously. He tells it like it is…& truthfully, that’s how ppl need to hear it. This isn’t like ur local highschool talent conest. This is AI! Ppl that wanna b in music biz..need to know this shit isn’t a cake walk! :P No more pitty passing kids on to the next level just cause they have some kinda sob story or…cuz they look like a replica of past idol winners (is it me or does every year hv like the nerd, the rocker chick, gospel chick, etc.)…anyway, I’m just excited to tell it like it is & high 5 Simon all day. He may be devil of judges but he’s riggght! (kthxbye back 2 silence)
I find it completely hilarious that Katy thinks she’s actually going to have a say on who advances to the next round! Honey, you’re just there for the ratings. This thing will be already cast before you even hit the door.
And yes Katy, there are archetypes on Idol, and kids are “pitty passed” on their sob stories–it’s a reality show, not a talent show. Hopefully, your new BFF, Simon Cowell has the chance to straighten out your naive ass before you hit the panel…
