HDD – Album Sales Prediction – Nov 8-14

With just over 40% of the data in, Susan Boyle and Taylor Swift are neck and neck. Can the British songbird topple country’s stranglehold on the top of the chart this fall? Meanwhile, two new albums debut in the top 5 featuring Idols. Now 36 has tracks from Adam Lambert and Daughtry while Jason Aldean’s album features a duet with Kelly Clarkson which got a lot of praise at the CMAs. Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits (sung frequently on Idol) rounds out the top 5.

Carrie Underwood’s “Play On” continues in the top 50 and she is also featured on two other albums in the top 50. Now 35 contains her “Undo It” (one of the singles from “Play On”) and she has a track on the debuting “Coal Miner’s Daughter: Tribute”. Fantasia continues to have her latest album in the top 50 and Jordin makes an appearance on the Big Time Rush album which is sitting at 34.

This is the thread for the daily numbers. The gift that is rarely bland, but sometimes tedious.
