On Tuesday’s (March 27) The Voice Battle round episode, viewers learned that contestant Hannah Goebel left Team Kelly Clarkson and the competition due to personal reasons. On Wednesday (March 28), the singer posted an Instagram message that does not explain her mysterious withdrawal from the show, but does assure fans that she’s OK and looking forward to creating and recording original music.
Hey everyone! I want to start off this post by giving my utmost thanks to the @nbcthevoice team, coaches, fellow contestants, fans and friends who provided me with an incredible level of support throughout this entire process.
As many of you have now heard, I left this season of The Voice due to personal reasons. I want to assure everyone that I am well; I still have my voice and am looking forward to a long music career and recording original songs in the near future.
Above all else, I must endlessly thank my amazing Coach, @kellyclarkson , for believing in me, providing me with the greatest opportunity of my music career thus far. Kelly is someone I will always look up to for her incredible poise, beautiful heart and unbelievable level of talent. I am forever grateful that she decided to use her Block on me and immensely appreciative of the time that I spent on her team.

Hannah, who impressed the coaches so much with a version of Alicia Keys “If I Ain’t Got You” during her Blind Audition, that they all pushed their buttons. In a ultimately successful bid to get Hannah on her team, Kelly used her block to keep Alicia out of the running.
After joining Team Kelly, the singer was around long enough to tape pre-battles promo and her iTunes recording with partner Alexa Cappelli, but by the time of the episode taping, host Carson Daly announced she had dropped out due to personal issues. Alexa filmed her Battles performance as a solo that was shown during the episode in a brief montage.
