Thursday (Feb 25) is a big day for Kelly Clarkson. Her interview with First Lady Jill Biden will air on her afternoon talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The show’s Youtube channel put up a few teasers. In one, Dr. Biden gives Kelly reassuring advice on getting through her painful divorce.
“This is what I would say to you if I were your mother,” Dr. Biden advises, “…if you can take one day at a time…things will get better.”
Dr. Biden looks back on her own divorce, years ago, “If I hadn’t gotten divorced, I never would have met Joe,” Dr. Biden continued, sharing about her marriage to President Joe Biden, “I wouldn’t have the beautiful family I have now. I really think things happen for the best.”
“I don’t know how long it’s been for you, but over time you heal,” Dr. Biden promised, “You’re going to be surprised! And I can’t wait until that day comes for you.”
Kelly seemed to really take the advice to heart. Kelly had a tough 2020. She filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 7 years, Brandon Blackstock, back in June and later won primary custody of their kids.
However, he’s seeking substantial spousal and child support, and his family management company subsequently sued Kelly claiming she owed the company commissions. In turn, she petitioned the California Labor Board, claiming he defrauded her out of millions. And then Blackstock responded. At this time, it must appear to Kelly like there is no end in site. So, Dr. Biden’s word’s must have been comforting to her.
