“It’s Out..” David Archuleta writes on Twitter. “But seriously, #Movin out everywhere!” That’s David cheekily announcing that his new song “Movin'” is out everywhere. He’s not talking about himself! The American Idol season 7 alum came out as LGBTQ last month!
BUT SERIOUSLY. The tune, written by David, Nate Dodge and Michael Campbell is upbeat, with an island flavor. And it’s very flirty, as the American Idol season 7 alum sings “I like the way you’re movin/You’re movin’/You’ve been playing hard to get from the start/I like the way you’re movin/you’re movin/I like what you do…to my heart/”
Listen to David Archuleta’s upbeat song “Movin’,” perfect for summer, below.

American Idol reunion
Recently, David had a reunion on the golf course with his good friend, David Cook who won their season of American Idol. David came in second, but no hard feelings. The two have remained friends over the years.
That, after David came out as LGBTQIA+ on Instagram, and then later sat down for an interview with ABC news, clips which aired on Good Morning America and Nightline.
“There are people experiencing the same feelings of being LGBTQIA+,” David wrote on Instagram, “who are wrestling to follow their beliefs that are so important to them, just as I have.” He continued, “…I just invite you to please consider making room to be more understanding and compassionate to those who are LGBTQIA+, and those who are a part of that community and trying to find that balance with their faith…”
