Carrie Ann Inaba confirms her return to DWTS judges panel, amid health issues
“Hey guys, I’m walking my dog, Lola. Anyway, just wanted to say, did you hear the news? ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ September 20, it’s official. We’re back!” Carrie shared in a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Thursday.
“Get your glitter on, pull your disco balls out, warm up your back,” she continued. “I can’t wait. Let’s bring on the dancing!”
Although when ABC announced DWTS renewal for the 2021-2022 season, they announced the full cast, including Carrie Ann, would be returning. However, in April, Carrie took a leave of absence from the CBS afternoon show The Talk, due to health reasons, and she hasn’t returned yet. Of course, fans had questions! But it looks like the gang is all back, including DWTS host Tyra Banks.
The Talk descended into chaos, Carrie Ann’s future still uncertain
As far a The Talk is concerned, Carrie posted on Instagram that she’d have some news about her future on The Talk.
“I noticed a lot of you are asking about ‘The Talk,’ if I’m coming back and what’s happening there,” she said in a series of videos. “I should have some news soon about what’s going on with my future at ‘The Talk.'”
The Talk descended into chaos last spring when the show fired Sharon Osbourne was fired from the show after getting into a heated discussion with Sherri Shepherd over Piers Moran’s racist criticism of Meghan Markle. Also at the time, rumors surfaced about her racist, homophobic and bullying ways on set.
Jerry O’Connell will take Sharon’s place as the first man to permanently co-host The Talk. Cheryl congratulated him as well. Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth are co-hosts.
