Christina Grimmie placed 3rd on The Voice season 6, this past spring, behind Jake Worthington and Josh Kaufman. Tonight (Dec 2) the singer returned to The Voice stage to perform “With Love,” the title track to an album she released in 2013.
Many were surprised that the YouTube star didn’t win. But taking the 2nd runner-up spot hasn’t crimped the singer’s style at all. After touring this summer with her fellow contestants, she is busy playing gigs and writing new music.
Her last TV appearance was on the recently completed season of Dancing with the Stars, singing an unplugged version of “Love Runs Out” for a contemporary dance routine performed by Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson.
Earlier this year, Christina signed with Island Records and released “Must Be Love,” her first single with the label. A full length album from the singer is forthcoming.
In a short interview with host Carson Daley after her performance, Christina shared that she’s set to tour overseas in 2015.
