UPDATED: Cassadee Pope Premiere: ‘Frame By Frame’ Docudrama & 2 New Songs (VIDEO & AUDIO)

As she continues to prep the October 8th release of her first post-Voice album, Season 3 Voice champ Cassadee Pope unveiled another new track today, a song she cowrote with Blair Daly and Troy Verges called “Everybody Sings.” UPDATE: And two more: “This Car,” which Cassadee cowrote with David Hodges and Gordie Sampson, and “One Song Away,” written by Mike Green, Hillary Lindsey, Aaron Pearce, and Troy Verges.

Cassadee describes “Everybody Sings” as a “fun song about being in a place with all these different people, all these different walks of life, and coming together for this one night and having a good time together.” “Everybody Sings” is another pop tune accented by a drum machine, hand claps, synth, processed background vocals and a percussion-driven, chanty breakdown, whose only connection to country may be its shoutout to “frat boys.”

Cassadee describes “This Car” as a “coming-of-age song” documenting the memories of all the firsts that happened in a particular place. The melody and vibe bring to mind Taylor Swift’s “Mine,” “Red,” and “Love Story.”

Thanks to commenter Joob for the heads up.

What do you think of Cassadee’s new tunes, and what are your predictions for Cassadee’s first week sales for Frame By Frame? Despite being in a holding pattern around the #25 spot (for now) at country radio and not-great-though-not-terrible callout, “Wasting All These Tears” is proving to be a strong digital seller. One way or the other, Cassadee is reaching pop/rock fans. Look for that to continue when Cassadee performs on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon next Wednesday, 10/9.
