Hot on the heels of AGT and X Factor judge Simon Cowell receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of fame, comes Carrie Underwood. Simon will also be a speaker at the American Idol season 4 winner’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, set for September 20th, reports Variety.
The ceremony will take place at 1750 North Vine Street in front of Capitol Records at 11:30 am. The location is not a coincidence considering that Carrie switched to the Universal Music Group’s Capitol Nashville label last year. This, after breaking ties with Sony, the label that signed her after she won the Idol crown. Carrie is set to release her next studio album, Cry Pretty, on September 14.

Back in 2005 when Carrie won American Idol, Simon, a judge on the show, famously predicted that Carrie would be the Idol’s most successful winner. Also helping to introduce Carrie will be fellow country singer Brad Paisley, with whom she will be co-hosting the CMA Awards for the 11th time in November.
The Sept. 20 ceremony will be webcast live at http://www.walkoffame.com and on Variety. I wonder how many of Carrie’s fellow Idol alums will be on hand to congratulate Carrie?
