‘Don’t mess it up’: American Idol hopefuls battle nerves to audition in downtown KC – Malek Looney’s knees shook as he stood in line with other “American Idol” hopefuls on a brisk Sunday morning in downtown Kansas City. “I’m just shaking, not because I’m nervous to sing, but more because it’s like that feeling you get when you’re so close to something that you wanted for so long,” said the 19-year-old Kansas City, North, resident. ”You’re like anxious about it, but you’re also thinking like, ‘Calm down. Don’t mess it up. You got it. How many made it to next round of American Idol audition – American idol is one of those iconic shows most of us have watched and obsessed over at some point in our lives. Today, for the first time ever, the hit series stopped at Canalside to hold auditions. Around 2,000 contestants came out to Buffalo for their chance to follow in the footsteps of famous singers like Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. American Idol auditions bring thousands to Canalside – Thousands of aspiring musicians lined up for a shot at fame as American Idol auditions were held at Canalside on Sunday. American Idol Says Buffalo Is Biggest Audition City Stop So Far–Watch The Auditions – Certainly the odds are the best so far in Buffalo. The producer running the show during the audition tour says that out of all 20 tour stop so far, Buffalo has produced the biggest numbers. Danny Gokey interview – He has opened for everyone from Casting Crowns to TobyMac. Now he’s ready to take on the limelight as headliner for the first time this fall, a major milestone for any artist. That means he has enough of his own songs to play 60 to 75 minutes without relying on covers. “It’s amazing but at the same time, there’s a lot of risk,” said Gokey last week, fighting off a stomach virus that two of his kids had as well. “There’s a lot more I have to think about.” For this show, Gokey will dance with his band, too, Bruno Mars style during some of the more upbeat tunes. TRACEY EVISON: Jasmine Murray overcomes struggles with anxiety to release her debut album, ‘Fearless’ – However, she says “We all have chinks in our armor. Some are clearly seen from the outside. Mine were on the inside; I secretly battled fear and anxiety. I know it looks like I had it all together, but I didn’t.” As a result of this, “Fearless” is the perfect theme for Murray’s first full-length album.
