While in the United Kingdom promoting her new album, Denim & Rhinestones, Carrie Underwood appeared as a surprise guest with the iconic rock band, Guns N’ Roses.
The American Idol season 4 winner joined the band on stage in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday night (July 1). According to reports, she appeared toward the end of the Guns N’ Roses main set to perform “Sweet Child O’ Mine” with Axl Rose and his bandmates. She later returned to the stage during the encore to sing “Paradise City”.
It’s not the first time the country singer has appeared with members of the beloved group. In April, Axl joined Carrie on stage at the Stagecoach country music festival in Indio, California to perform the same two songs. At the time, Carrie called the collaboration “the greatest night of my life.”
Carrie has never been shy about her love of heavy metal music, citing Guns N Roses as one of her favorite rock bands. She’s covered their music in concert from time to time.
