American Idol 2022 winner Noah Thompson promises new music is coming soon.
In an interview with WHAS 11, a local Kentucky TV station, the country singer described the trip he made to Nashville in early June to meet songwriters and participate in the CMA Music Festival as a “great time.”
“It’s going to happen pretty soon”
“It’s going to happen pretty soon,” Noah teased, regarding releasing new music. “We’re working on some stuff. I’m looking forward to getting to sit down and try and write some songs with some people.”
Noah has insisted on several occasions that he’s not a songwriter. But he is eager to develop the skill. Last week he posted part of a song he self-penned on social media, and his fans were left wanting more.
During his trip at the famed Music City festival, Noah took the stage to duet with last year’s Idol winner, Chayce Beckham on his winners single “23.” Additionally, former American Idol and Dancing with the Stars alum Jimmie Allen invited him on stage to sing his own coronation single, “One Day Tonight.”
The singer has nothing but praise for Jimmy Robbins, the Nashville produced that helmed “One Day Tonight.”
“He’s so easy to work with,” Noah gushed. “I love him. I connected with him the first time I walked in on Idol when her produced “One Day Tonight” for me,” Noah added, “He’s such a good dude. I like him a lot.”
Along with the interview, the news clip also includes Noah singing an acoustic version of his fan-favorite American Idol cover, “Stay” by Rihanna.

As further proof that Noah is already working on new songs, he posted a selfie with Jimmy Robbins sitting in front of a keyboard and a computer screen. Noah also uploaded a short clip with Jimmy and another collaborator. The caption reads, “Always fun being in the studio with @jammyrabbins #studiotime #nashville #bighead.”
