Was Big Brother houseguest, Andy Herren fired from the college where he worked as a part time instructor? Andy, an openly gay man, was the target of homophobic slurs. But ironically, he made some shady racist remarks of his own during the course of the competition. Or stood by and said nothing while others made offensive comments.
On Friday, College of DuPage posted an official statement on their Facebook page regarding Andy’s employment status:
“Andy Herren has formerly worked for College of DuPage as a part-time instructor. He does not currently work for the College. Any behavior or language he uses on the CBS reality show “Big Brother” does not represent the opinions or values of College of DuPage.“
It’s not clear if Andy’s employment was terminated while he was in the house, and/or directly as the result of his behavior, or comments he made on camera.
Andy did represent himself as a “college professor” which appears to be an exaggeration at best.
Andy’s ability to backstab and play all sides has landed him a Top 3 spot in the competition. He could take the $500K prize when the Jury votes during Wednesday’s season finale (CBS 9:30 pm) to name a new Big Brother winner.
