The Voice 28: Jazz McKenzie impresses coaches, earns 4 chairs, a block and Irish step dancers.
The Voice 28 premieres on Monday September 22. Check out a preview of a Blind Audition from Jazz McKenzie. She is a 30 year old from Birmingham, Alabama. The singer is also mom to a son.
The singer impresses the coaches–Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg— with a performance of Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It.” She earns a four chair turn, however, Reba decided to block Snoop. Will using her block pay off for her?
The Voice coaches fight for Jazz
Despite being blocked, Snoop takes the stage to give Jazz a big hug. Poor Snoop did not realize Reba blocked him at first. The red color confused him, which is odd because he’s been on the show before!
Niall feels that “anyone who takes on a Tina song is brave. He is willing to give hugs as well, but only if Jazz chooses him to be her coach. “You have to be on my team to hug me!” OK then.
Reba lays on the sentiment, saying she was hit so hard by Jazz’s beautiful voice. The singer becomes teary.
Michael insists he’s competitive and needs the “luck of the Irish.” And then out come a trio of Irish step dancers. Of course Niall knows how to step dance. Was that really so smart? Will Michael’s gimmick help him?
In the end, Michael’s gimmick works. Jazz chooses to join Team Bublé.
The Voice airs on NBC at 8 pm ET Mondays and Tuesdays. It streams on Peacock next day.
