Last season, American Idol featured the 2018 winner Maddie Poppe in a series titled “An American Idol Story” which followed her life after winning the title. Now, the current winner, Laine Hardy, will have his Idol journey chronicled in a similar fashion.
Check out the first video of the digital series An American Idol Story: Laine Hardy. It begins with Laine boarding a plane that will whisk him away to New York City. After landing, Laine immediately begins making the talk show rounds. First up is Good Morning America, followed by Live with Kelly and Ryan. A few days later he performed on The View.
Fans saw the performances, but now, the “An American Idol Story” series offers a behind the scenes glimpse of what happened backstage. Check out the clip below.
Laine’s next television appearance is this Sunday (June 16). The singer, along with last year’s 2nd runner-up Gabby Barrett, will appear on the Radio Disney award show The ARDYS. Tune in Sunday to the Disney Channel at 8 pm to watch.
