America’s Got Talent 2023 Spoilers: Meet the Auditions 8 Acts

America’s Got Talent season 18 auditions paused last week to make room for a clip show featuring Simon Cowell’s Top 16 Got Talent Auditions. But now the show returns with Auditions week 8, airing Tuesdy August 1.

According to NBC’s schedule, Auditions 9 airs August 8, followed by an episode with no description yet on August 15. Two Golden Buzzers remain–one for the entire group, and one for Sofia Vergara. That is, unless there’s is a twist NBC has yet to announce. Will Simon Cowell devote a full episode to the judge cuts this season? Stay tuned to find out. Bomba Circus – Comic Circus Show

This Israeli trio is made up of Amit, Noam, and Yaron. The group combines several circus skills (juggling, hoops, and acrobats) and performs them in a comedic and slapstick style. They have performed at several festivals and celebrations across Israel. It appears they will perform in 3 different outfits (robes, circus attire, and then with little to no clothes on).

Dev – Singer

Dev appeared on Season 14 (2020) of Britain’s Got Talent where he wowed the judges and audience with an angelic rock voice covering Queen’s “I Want to Break Free” while dressed as a devil. He made it past auditions but failed to make the semifinals. Somehow he remains anonymous, and it appears his BGT audition is his only performance online.

Duo Acero – Aerialists/Acrobats

Duo Acero is an acrobatic duo made up of Edison Acero and Giselle Souza that performs hand balancing strength acts, aerial strap and hoops, and Chinese pole acts. The duo has toured across Europe, performing at several circus shows.

Gabriel Henrique – Singer

Gabriel is a singer from Brazil, has 305K followers on Instagram and 581K followers on Tik Tok. His range is impressive, featuring the ability to hit whistle notes. A cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere” has garnered 201K streams on Spotify. A video that fellow singer Allan Raph posted to Tik Tok of Gabriel singing “Stand Up” with falsetto and whistle notes in May has 2 million likes and 8.6 million views. In 2019, he appeared on Brazilian talent show, Programa Raul Gil.

H.B. Monte – Producer/DJ

HB is a DJ, Producer, Songwriter, and Hip Hop artist. His song “Luv Ya Better” with Lumidee has nearly 800K streams on Spotify. He makes mashups of pop and hip hop songs, and is the co-founder of My Digital Crew. According to his LinkedIn, he has worked with artists like Pitbull and T-Pain. It appears his audition features animations of the judges. With AI’s increased popularity on social media platforms for music, maybe the judges’ voices will be used on a song.

Kylie Frey – Singer

Kylie is a Nashville based singer, originally from Louisiana. AGT released her audition of “Horses in Heaven,” a song about her Grandpa, last week. In the clip she called herself a “rodeo queen,” inspired by Reba McEntire. (Watch it here). Fun Fact: the original version of this song features Randy Houser, a recording artist that has 7 US Billboard Hot 100 hits (mostly in the 2010s). Kylie’s songs titled “Your Bar Now” and “One Night In Tulsa” both have over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. She made USA’s Real Country finale in 2018 representing Shania Twain and placed 7th.

Leonard Lee – Dog Act

Leonard Lee is a Border Collie owned by Teresa Hanula, from Fairfax, Virginia. They were featured on Live with Kelly and Ryan’s Record Breaker Week where Leonard broke the record for Most Basketball Slam Dunks in One Minute by a Dog. He has broken Guinness World Records in both 2021 and 2022. Among his talents is painting, and according to Instagram, he is the “youngest pup to travel all 50 US states.” Maybe Leonard will be the third act this season to attempt to break a Guinness record this season

Noodle & Bun – Animated Band

Noodle & Bun appear to be a band made up of 3 animated stuffed animal-like figures. Noodle appeared on BGT in 2023 (Season 16) where it was eventually revealed Noodle was Season 15 3rd place finisher, Tom Ball in the SemiFinals At that point, Noodle was cut. Outside of talent competitions, Noodle and Bun releasesepisodes to YouTube where their page has 931K subscribers and have a large social media following (6.5 million followers on Tik Tok and 296K followers on Instagram).

Pulse Percussion is a Southern California based youth-arts organization that hosts clinics and has percussion teams. Both Pulse and POW Percussion perform competitively in the Southern California Percussion Alliance and at a national level in the Winter Guard International Sport of the Arts. For the 2nd year in a row, Pulse Percussion won the WGI World Percussion Championship Finals.

Rob Potylo – Comedy Musician

Rob is a comedic singer who often goes by the persona Robby Roadsteamer. He has a YouTube series that lasted several seasons titled Quiet Desperation. He grew up in Danvers, MA outside of Boston and his character is rock dude who came up in the iconic Boston rock scene. Currently he’s doing a series on greater Boston area neighborhoods where he laments the demise of great dive bars and rock clubs. This clip where he mocks how the town of Salem bases its entire tourist industry on murdering witches is pretty funny. He has also appeared on ABC’s The Gong Show.

Summer is a viral singer from Brunswick, Ohio who has 338K followers on Instagram and 498K followers on Tik Tok. One of her most viewed videos is her singing a cover of Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” with her mom critiquing her while singing. The video has 11.7 million views and 3.4 million likes. Fun fact: she appeared to have auditioned for last season of American Idol but was never aired.

There isn’t much on this singer who sports a cowboy hat. It appears that he may be a comedic singer as his one reel seems comedic and a quick google search with a broken link shows he had some part in the Crazy Show Comedy Production.

True Villains are a Nashville based hard rock band fronted by Beau Lastavich. While gigging they attracted the attention of Nick Raskulinecz who has worked with bands like Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains. They eventually recorded some songs with him, the most popular being “Dig Your Grave” which has just over 150K streams on Spotify (just an FYI – the video does have a warning for those who are photosensitive).

Twinjas – Martial Arts Duo

Twinjas are a martial arts duo made up of twin brothers Jonny & Ollie who have been featured on Ninja Kidz TV. The two are also part of Gap’s marketing campaigns in 2023 as child models. Additionally, they were featured on Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg on Peacock where they taught Kevin and Snoop some lessons. The clip has 770K views on YouTube.

Zion Clark – Acrobat

Zion is a wrestler and athlete who was born with no legs. He has been prominently featured on promos for the season. Netflix did a short documentary in 2018 featuring Zion titled ZION, and it won two Emmys at the 40th Sports Emmy Awards. He has 1 million followers on Instagram and 1.9 million followers on Tik Tok. Additionally, he competed on the Kent State wrestling team in college and also won his MMA debut. ESPN featured a clip that got 1 million views on Tik Tok. Zion was featured as The Fastest Man on Two Feet by Guinness World Records.
