Heads up! NBC has revealed the America’s Got Talent semifinal wildcard act! Beyond Belief Dance Company will join 10 other acts to perform on Tuesday for a spot in the big finale!
AGT viewers and the judges advanced 21 acts over the course of three weeks, leaving an extra spot for the judges to fill with a Wildcard. After America voted during Week 1 of the Quarterfinals, Beyond Belief Dance Company were in danger, along with comic Kabir Singh and Youtube singer Madilyn Bailey. During the results show, fans voted for their favorite of the three acts via the Instant Vote.
At the end of the episode, Kabir received the most votes and moved immediately to the semifinals. Next, the judges voted to save an act. Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara voted for Beyond Belief Dance Company to go through, while Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell voted for Madilyn Bailey. After the vote deadlocked, the act with the lowest viewer votes was eliminated. And that act was Beyond Belief Dance Company. Now, the kid dance group out of Mesquite, Texas will get a second chance to win the $1 million prize.
Beyond Belief Dance Company is helmed by popular drag queen, and RuPaul’s Drag Race Star, Justin Johnson aka Alyssa Edwards. Along with fierce dance moves, Justin helps the group of tween girls develop self-confidence.
