The America’s Got Talent 2021 semifinals finished last night with the second and last group of 11 contestants performing for your votes. Tonight, five acts will move on to the finale! It’s a brutal elimination at this stage.

Here’s how the elimination will proceed: Three acts will advance automatically to the next round, but the 4th, 5th and 6th place finishers will vie for the final two spots. Fans can vote to save a favorite, while the judges–Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara–save an act from the bottom two vote getters.
Tonight, former AGT contestants acrobats Duo Transcend and danger act Deadly Games perform.
Simon was so grumpy last night. But tonight he says more than five acts should go through. Hmph.
Terry Announces the Three acts in Danger
Lea Kyle, Unicircle Flow, Victory Brinker step forward! Victory is kind of a surprise, but not a HUGE surprise. Simon reminds everybody that two of the acts WILL go through to the final.
Duo Transcend and Deadly Games JOIN FORCES for a performance
So will the Deadly Games people stab Duo Transcend while they are flying through the air? Not really. It’s actually both acts doing their thing at the same time. The more to look at, I guess. Oh, it did end with Duo Transcend getting shot at. Before that, they were mostly in the background. What do the two acts have in common? Both will star in the AGT Las Vegas Luxor residency beginning in November.

Northwell Health Nurse Choir and 1achord step forward. The first act through to the finals is…Northwell Health Nurse Choir. 1aChord is ELIMINATED. Turning the creepy stalker song “Every Step You Take” into a church song probably did 1aChord in.
A Big Moment for AGT
The show’s Youtube channel has had over 3 billion views, so Google sent the production an award. Simon thanks NBC for buying the show when nobody else would.
Results
Kabir Singh and Rialcris take center stage. America has voted and the next act going into the finals is…NONE OF YOU. “What a shock” says Terry. NOT REALLY. It’s not the psych out Terry thinks it is. After Simon buzzed both acts last night, it was clear neither would advance. Regardless, the “NOBODY” result always feels kind of mean.
Brooke Simpson and Chapkidz take center stage. The act going into the finals is…Brooke Simpson! YAYYYYYY. Simon is VERY upset that Chapkidz were eliminated. “I think we should have a wildcard.” Simon didn’t just blurt that out. After suggesting a Wildcard spot for next week’s show out loud, I imagine it will happen. Stay tuned I guess?
Josh Blue and Peter Antoniou step forward. America has voted! The act going into the finals is…Peter’s laughing. He knows he’s done after last night’s disastrous act. Meanwhile, comic Josh Blue is through!
Instant Save Results!
It’s time to announce the winner of the Instant Save. Terry says the vote is SUPER CLOSE! But America saved…Lea Kyle! Everytime the vote totals were flashed on the screen, Lea and Victory were running neck and neck. Unicircle Flow and Victory are now at the mercy of the judges.
The Judges Choose!
Unicircle Flow and Victory Brinker. Who will the judges choose to advance? And Victory goes through! Only America’s vote could have saved Unicircle Flow. Did you notice the judges kept calling the group “Unicycle Flow.” Not a good sign.

I predicted that Chapkidz would advance and Northwell Health Nurse Choir would be eliminated. But other than that, this week’s predictions were correct. Wishful thinking probably drove my picks. Uplifting backstories are nice, but regardless, the most talented acts should advance. That would be Chapkidz.
