Alejandro Aranda aka Scarypoolparty is canceling the remaining dates on his acoustic tour. The American Idol season 17 runner-up posted on his Instagram account, “Unfortunately, we are postponing the remaining unplugged tour dates. Reach out to your point of purchase for more info. I promise to get back out on the road very soon.”

On September 23, his tour partner, Covey announced the tour cancelation on his Instagram page. “Got some bad news homies, due to reasons out of my control I won’t be heading on tour with Scary Pool Party :(”

Neither artist revealed details on why the tour, which was scheduled for a bunch of east coast venues, was canceled. It wasn’t due to Alejandro’s well-known fear of flying. He was already out on the East Coast, and it looks like he played at least one date on his schedule.

After tour canceled, fans expressed concern

Nevertheless, fans in his mentions expressed concern for him. “Hope you are OK,” one fan wrote. Another also wrote, “Hope you are OK!” adding, “Sending love!”

Alejandro has pulled out of gigs in the past due to mental health issues. He canceled a UK tour in late 2019. “I’m extremely sorry to announce that I will be canceling my shows in the London next week,” Alejandro wrote on social media the time. “I never want to disappoint my fans but I feel like it would be wrong if I were to play shows while being exhausted and not in the right mental health for those watching.”

Later that year, the singer-songwriter abruptly canceled his appearance at the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, stating that he did it to prioritize his mental health.

Three years after canceling amid mental health concerns, Scarypoolparty tours Europe in 2022

However, Alejandro headed to Europe earlier this summer to finally play that European tour. “Can’t believe we did it….Three years for these shows. This acoustic run was AMAZING,” Alejandro wrote on Instagram. “Met so many of you in the uk and Ireland and thank you for coming out and for being so kind and awesome.”

Alejandro is constantly putting out bits of new music for his fans and is getting ready to drop a new single titled, “Pieces.” On Tik Tok, he posted a series of songs about fast food places. He’s a pretty funny guy!

“Still a lot of tickets for some shows”

As far as the cancelation of his acoustic tour is concerned, one clue might be found in an Instagram post where he shares that the tour starts in a week, but “still a lot of tickets for some shows.” Maybe the tour didn’t sell enough tickets to be profitable.

Alejandro has always been honest about his mental health struggles.

In April, Alejandro shared on Instagram: “Been super stressed out lately. And my anxiety has been really taking control of my mental health. But trying hard to keep it together And keeping a healthy outlook on everything.” He added, “Sending only positive vibes.”

Later, he posted, “Y’all are the kindest people. Seriously. I’m trying to be more open to share real stuff with you guys, And y’all are so positive it’s legit the best thing in the world,” he wrote. “i still struggle with my anxiety and sometimes don’t know how to handle, But knowing I’m not alone makes everything feel like it’s gonna be okay.”

The following month, Alejandro appeared on an episode of American Idol to perform his song “Darkness.” Shortly after, the singer-songwriter wrote on Instagram, “Don’t forget to laugh and have fun! This music journey I’ve been on has been filled with super highs and super lows. But one thing I count on is the enjoyment of being able to play music.Absolutely love you guys to the moon and back<3”
