American Idol season 9 winner Lee DeWyze releases his new album, Paranoia, today (Feb 16). The set–moody, stark and deeply personal–is the singer’s fourth post-Idol effort.

He told Parade magazine where the album premiered a few days ago, “This record for me is really a reflection of where I am in my career as a songwriter. I wanted to step outside of what may be considered my norm musically, while maintaining the songwriter storytelling aspect in all of what I do. I wanted each listener to live in and feel each song the way they are hearing it. Built on emotion and space, Paranoia is for me a special record and I’m excited for everyone to hear it for the first time.”
