American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery released his long-awaited studio album, Seasons Change, on Friday (March 16) via Triple Tigers Records, a Sony Music imprint – his first album on the label.
The project was produced by Frank Rogers (Scotty’s See You Tonight, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker), Derek Wells (guitarist for Kenny Chesney, Brett Eldredge, Little Big Town), and Aaron Eshuis (producer for Ryan Hurd, songwriter for A Thousand Horses, Joe Nichols, Cole Swindell).

The lead single “5 More Minutes” recently climbed to No. 1. on the Country Airplay Chart, an impressive feat for an independent release.
“In the last five years, I have grown from a teenager to a man, moved out on my own, lost my grandfather, proposed to the love of my life, and learned more about myself than I could have imagined,” said Scotty about the life experiences that informed his songwriting for Seasons Change.

Thursday, Scotty stopped by Megyn Kelly Today, to chat about the album and perform his No. 1 country song “5 More Minutes.”
The host mentioned a few of the ups and downs from the last several years of Scotty’s life including: Winning American Idol at age 16, releasing hit records, losing a record deal, facing a lawsuit, being held up at gunpoint, releasing another hit song, and getting engaged to the love of his life. It’s been a full life so far for Scotty McCreery!
