HOORAY. American Idol RISES 4/10ths of a point from last week! Last year at this time, the show’s ratings were sinking like a stone until it hit an embarrassing 1.3 for its final performance show. Folks are likely checking in for the last performances ever. I can’t imagine next week’s shows will fall. The once mighty American Idol should not go out with a whimper.
Also consider Idol was not airing against repeats. Or featured famous guest stars.
UPDATE: There were a couple of adjustments in the final update. Big Bang adjusted up. Life in Pieces, Scandal and The 100 adjusted down. In the half hour breakdown posted below, you can see that American Idol was the #1 show in terms of both demo ratings and viewers for the 9-10 pm hour.
