American Idol Winner Nick Fradiani at FIFA Women’s World Cup Soccer (VIDEO)

GO USA! The United States women’s soccer team faces off against Japan today for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Soccer championship. The game will air on FOX today at 7 pm ET.

One of the perks of winning American Idol this year was recording the theme song for the championship, scheduled to take place in Vancouver Canada.

After Connecticut’s own, Nick Fradiani, took the crown, his single “Beautiful Life,” co-written by Chris Carrabba of the emo rock band, Dashboard Confessional, became the Official FIFA Women’s World Cup Soccer Championship theme. The song has been featured in FOX promos and in the official music video for the World Cup.

Nick has been busy busy busy, preparing to drop his debut album on Big Machine Records, and visiting radio stations across the country to promote the single, “Beautiful Life.” As soon as he wraps up World Cup duties, Nick will heading off to Tampa, Florida where the rest of the Idol Top 5 are rehearsing for the 2015 American Idol Live tour. The 37 city tour kicks off on Tuesday July 7.
