Just Sam took the American Idol season 18 crown back in May. But what has she been up to ever since? This week, she stripped down herself and her Instagram account.
The singer deleted most of the posts on her Instagram page. Currently, there are only a handful posts remaining. Speaking of taking things to the bare minimum–on Monday she posted a selfie of herself only wrapped in a towel. “Happy National Nude Day!” she wrote. (Is that actually a thing?)
Could the New York based artist be signalling a fresh start?

After the pandemic shut down American Idol production in Hollywood last March, Sam stayed in Los Angeles to protect her elderly grandmother, who lived in Harlem, from Covid-19. But once she won American Idol, and signed a record deal with Hollywood and 19 Records, Sam headed back home to New York City.
Although she is no longer singing in the subway, Sam took part in Black Lives Matter Protests, celebrated her queer sexuality during Pride month, while documenting much of it on social media.
For celebrities, wiping a social media account clean often marks a brand new beginning. With the coronavirus pandemic raging it will be hard for Sam to get into a studio to record. But, but hopefully the young singer will find a safe way to make her voice heard.
Sam did leave up a post that urged singers to audition for American Idol, the television competition that changed her life. “If I CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT TOO!” she wrote.
