American Idol alum Caleb Lee Hutchinson announces his debut album ‘Southern Galactic’

Caleb Lee Hutchinson, American Idol 2018 runner-up to winner Maddie Poppe, has announced the release of his long-awaited debut album.

“I am absolutely overjoyed to announce that my debut album “Southern Galactic” will be all y’all’s 10/27!” the country singer posts on Instagram. “The first singles “Silverado” and “Good at Being Bad” are available for pre-add/pre-save now and out 9/29! (9/21-9/28 exclusively on the @playcountrystar app)”

“I am feeling better than ever as both a man and an artist”

The singer continued, “It has been many years of immeasurable highs and crippling lows. It wasn’t all that long ago I was really considering giving up. Lots of prayers prayed and tears shed,” Caleb shares, “Through the love of God, my family, my friends and all of you, I am feeling better than ever as both a man and an artist.”

“This record encapsulates this period of my life and making it was the most rewarding and gratifying things I have ever done,” Caleb writes. “Thank you to a true hero of mine, @titanicsinclair for producing this record. Thank you to my team for working so hard and believing in me. I hope you all love it as much as we do. We did not come to take part, we came to take over. Southern Galactic.”

The announcement includes a snippet of a new song.
