American Idol 2023 Top 26 Poll Results: Who are your favorite singers?
After last week’s American Idol Showstopper Round aired, fans voted in our poll to choose their Top 3 favorite American Idol season 21 Top 26 contestants. You also graded the season and the judges AND weighed in on whether the platinum ticket should continue next season.
With all the talk of Nutsa receiving the “villain edit” during Hollywood, her fans rallied and voted in the poll, pushing her into the No. 1 spot. However, taking a look at her stats, most of her votes came from outside of the US. In other words, overseas fans aren’t eligible to vote for her on the show. Iam Tonga, who has Pacific Island heritage also got a fair share of overseas votes, but he received a bunch in the US as well.

No 2 and No. 3 are NOT surprising outcomes. Iam has been a fan favorite all season. Wé Ani benefits from being already known as a former The Voice finalist and a spectacular and unique vocalist. Nutsa and Iam are the only contestants to earn double-digit percentages. Outside of Nutsa and Iam, there aren’t any clear winners really.
American Idol season 21 gets a A
Fans gave American Idol season 21 a solid A so far. I agree. The talent is pretty great this season. Hopefully production gets out of the way and allows the singers to shine. As far as the judges are concerned, I expected the “They all suck” to earn a higher percentage. Fans complain about the judges no matter what, apparently. I also expected Katy Perry to rate lowest of the three. But despite her antics, she ranked ahead of Luke Bryan. Mr. Sensible, Lionel Richie is a clear favorite with almost 40% of the vote.
Only 38% percent of fans feel that the Platinum Ticket should continue. 43% voted no, while 19% don’t care one way or the other.
American Idol season 21 VOTING begins!
American Idol VOTING begins this week! Only fan votes will determine the Top 20. So, make sure to download the American Idol phone app and/or sign up to vote at ABC.com. This week, the voting is overnight. Watch this space for Spoilers after Wednesday April 19, the day the Top 20 show tapes in front of a studio audience. The Top 20 episode airs on Sunday April 23. American Idol Top 26 perform on ABC Sunday April 16 and Monday April 17. Singer-songwriter Allen Stone mentors Sunday’s group, while pop singer Noah Cyrus mentors the singers featured on Monday.
