American Idol moves from it’s long-time home to a new studio

Last year, The Top 23 (Kenedi Anderson quit after she taped the Top 24 round in Hawaii) all prepared songs for the Top 20 episode. Ryan called out contestants names, and the three singers left standing were eliminated and did not perform. The episode aired over 3 hours on Easter Sunday. Presumably, the season 21 Top 20 will follow the same format, with six contestants leaving the competition at the end of the show.

The email refers to a new set. The show is moving to Red Studios from it’s longtime home at CBS Studios, which the network recently sold. The new owners are currently renovating the building, which means a bunch of shows had to find new homes, including American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. (I wonder happens to the massively tricked out Big Brother “house” which is really a massive two floor studio attached to the building. But I digress.)

Tickets are not available for the rest of the season yet, but fans can submit requests now. Get Tix at OnCameraAudiences.
