ABC has announced some of the stars lined up for the American Idol 2021 finale, set to air May 23.
Luke Combs, Macklemore, Fall Out Boy and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham will hit the stage for special performances, along with Chaka Khan, American Idol alum Mickey Guyton, X Factor UK alum Leona Lewis, Alessia Cara, and Sheryl Crow. Additionally, Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie will also hit the stage.
It’s likely that at least some of the announced guest stars will pair up with contestants for performances. For instance, could Lindsey Buckingham or Luke Combs be Chayce Beckham’s duet partner? That is just a guess! The details will likely be leaked prior to the May 23 three hour finale.
This Sunday (May 16) the Top 4–Casey Bishop, Chayce Beckham, Grace Kinstler and Willie Spence–will compete in the semi-final for three spots in the finale. The quartet will perform a trio of songs, including an original winners single that is available to download and stream now (listen to all four songs HERE). Sunday’s semi-final will broadcast live coast to coast, allowing fans across the country to vote in real time. By the end of the episode, the final three will be revealed.
