On Friday (5/29) Hollywood Records/19R released the winners singles from the American Idol 2020 Top 5. The winner, Just Sam, dropped her cover of Andra Day’s “Rise Up” the morning after she won the show on Sunday, May 17.
Francisco Martin’s cover of Maggie Rogers’ “Alaska,” Dillon James cover of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are a Changin” and Jonny West’s original song “Makin’ Love” are all available everywhere to download and stream.
However, runner-up Arthur Gunn’s take on Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” is not currently available, and there’s no indication that it will be soon.

On Friday Arthur thanked fans for buying and streaming his pre-Idol music, including his album Grahan. “Thank you all of you for listening to Grahan and all the music that is out there,” he wrote, “Also, i can’t wait for to work on more music. Stay Tuned People!!!” He currently has a link to Grahan posted in his Instagram bio.
Maybe Creedence Clearwater Revival and/or associated entities wouldn’t clear the song for release? Although, they did clear it twice for Arthur to perform during the competition. It’s worth noting that because the coronavirus pandemic shut down production, there were no new coronation singles. The Top 5 released recordings of their “live” American Idol finale performances.
