American Idol 2019 Finale Ratings Dip Vs Last Year

American Idol 2019 Top 10 Laine Hardy Winner

The American Idol 2019 finale ratings garnered a 1.3 in the key 18-49 demo, rising 2/10ths of a point vs last week’s 1.2 number for the Top 5 episode.

Last year, the finale scored a 1.6 rating. But the circumstances were a little different as the performances aired on Sunday and a results finale on Monday. The Sunday episode, which aired against the Billboard Music Awards, earned a 1.3.

Keep in mind that the ratings will likely adjust up in the final update due to the episode broadcasting coast to coast across all time zones. We’ll probably see those numbers tomorrow.

UPDATE: American Idol adjusted up 2/10ths of a point to 1.5 in the final update
