American Idol Top 5 Ratings Stay Even with Last Week

AMERICAN IDOL - "217" - (ABC/Eric McCandless) RYAN SEACREST, LIONEL RICHIE, KATY PERRY, LUKE BRYAN

Sunday night (May 12), the American Idol Top 5 sang for viewer votes before the Top 3 were revealed. Ratings for the penultimate episode of the singing competition stayed even with last week, leading the night for ABC, at a 1.1 preliminary number in the key 18-49 demo.

Once again, due to the show airing live across all time zones, expect an upward adjustment in the final Nielsen update.

UPDATE: Indeed, American Idol ratings rose to a 1.2 in the final update
