American Idol 2018 Hollywood Week began at the Dolby theater on Monday! I have a few minor updates to make here.
- Half the contestants sang on Monday (Jan 22). Cuts were made.
- The other half sang on Tuesday (Jan 23). Cuts were made.
- Groups were formed Tuesday night and will perform on Wednesday (Jan 24).
- Another Solo round is scheduled for Thursday (Jan 25).
I’m hearing a Top 36 or 24 will be chosen on Friday (Jan 26). I’m still waiting for more explicit details on that.
There’s something else I heard from another source: American Idol will be using Katy Perry’s band to back the contestants. I’m also waiting for more details on that from a source.
And a last bit of news: A drag queen made it to Hollywood. So watch out for that when the show airs.
