Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Feb 17-23

This week, we have 6 milestones including 3 debuts.

One Direction has two milestones this week. Their “Story of My Life” goes top ten on AC and debuts on the Rhythmic chart in the top 50. The song is now charting on four different charts, top 10 in 3 of them and top 4 in 2.

The latest American Idol winner, Candice Glover dropped an album last week and her current single kicked it into gear. “Cried” moved into the top 20 on UAC. This is her first top 20 song.

Chris Daughtry may have not won Idol, but he was featured as a mentor this week giving some good advice. His band’s debut single from their latest album went top 15 on AC. “Waiting for Superman” is charting on the three mainstream formats.

James Durbin also finished fourth like Daughtry (Chris also reached out to James when he was looking for a mentor as to how to navigate the post-Idol world) and has a new debut single out for his second album. “Parachute” drops into the top 50 on HAC.

A final debut comes this week from season 2 Idol winner, Ruben Studdard. He’s always gotten a lot of love on the UAC format and his new single, “Love, Love, Love” flew into the top 40 (almost top 30) to debut. ”
