The Voice 25 Recap: Blind Auditions 6 – We’re Live Blogging the Final Audition episode

It’s the final night of Blind Auditions on The Voice and coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper and Dan and Shay are about to complete their teams!

Val T. Webb – 43 – Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here

Beautiful voice that makes John turn immediately. Chance follows as she continues to belt. A high note makes Dan and Shay and Reba both turn. She’s got those JHud vibes!

Chance tells her she did that! John says he can see the joy and relief on her face and she handled her audition with poise and grace. Dan and Shay say they felt like they were in a worship service and it was really special. Chance compliments her breath control and says she made it her own. Reba says she hit the button because there’s nothing she needs to critique. Val chooses Team Chance, completing Chance’s team!

Joewun Bee – 27 – Over My Head (Cable Car)

Joewun is doing a cool rendition of this song. Doesn’t sound like he’s got quite what this show is looking for though, and no one turns.

Chance says he obviously has passion and talent and he hopes he comes back. Reba says it was wonderful. John compliments his outfit but says the way he sang was mismatched with the song. Dan and Shay say he needs a little more dynamic.

Kyle Schuesler – 19 – The Scientist

John turns almost immediately for this sultry voice. His voice is so natural and Shay hovers his hand over the button before finally hitting it. Reba makes up her mind by the end and also turns.

Chance says he reimagined a song people love and to consider it a four chair turn because he would’ve turned it he hadn’t already filled his team. Reba says she noticed how excited Chance was when she turned because he wanted Kyle to get the full benefit of a four chair turn. She calls his voice relaxing and soothing and says he touched her heart. John says he made the song his own and compliments his texture. Dan and Shay say it was a sick performance and they love what he brought to the table. Kyle chooses Team Dan and Shay, completing their team!

L. Rodgers – 34 – Wild Horses

Deep and controlled. Those runs! Her falsetto at the very end gets Reba to turn, who L. reveals is her favorite.

Reba says she was blown away by her vocal and she’s a powerhouse. John says her vibe is infectious and he loves how she’s soaking the moment in. Dan and Shay say they won’t be long because they want her moment with Reba to happen. Chance says he has so much love for her it’s crazy. L. joins Team Reba, completing Reba’s team!

Raina Chan – 14 – Hold My Hand

Such a mature voice for someone so young, but John doesn’t turn.

Reba asks if they can start over (lol). John says to imagine what she’ll be in a couple years if she already sounds this good. Dan and Shay say their minds are blown. Chance says she should be proud she got on the stage.

Olivia Rubini – 24 – Long Long Time

Unique style and beautiful, unique voice that makes John turn. She immediately reacts to the chair turn before finishing the song.

Reba says she would’ve turned if she could. Chance says she’s a star and he would’ve turned. Dan and Shay say they can tell she believed what she was singing and they’d buy her album today. John says he was waiting for the perfect person and he’s happy he didn’t have to fight the others for her. Olivia joins Team Legend, completing his team!

The episode ends with John singing about completing his team.

Battles begin next Monday!
