It’s the final week of Blind Auditions on The Voice and it kicks off tonight as the coaches–John Legend, Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay–begin completing their teams.

The Voice 25 Contestants to Watch (Meet the Artists)

The show opens with the coaches performing “Put A Little Love In Your Heart.”

Ronnie Wilson – 28 – Pillowtalk

I didn’t even recognize the song at first, what a beautiful rendition. John turns almost immediately. That falsetto gets Reba to turn.

Dan and Shay call his performance amazing. Chance reminds everyone John used to work in numbers when Ronnie tells them about being an accountant. Reba then pretends to call Keith Urban when they find out Ronnie loves country music. Reba then says Ronnie has a quality in his voice that makes people feel good. John says he loves how he created moments by being creative with the melody. Ronnie chooses Team Legend.

Zoe Levert – 20 – Better Man (Taylor’s Version)

Her voice is a bit quiet but I see the Swift in her. Definitely hear some imperfection in her voice but it’s charming. John turns at the very last second.

Dan and Shay compliment the song choice. Zoe tells Dan and Shay she and her fiance are dancing to their song “From The Ground Up” at their wedding and the guys grab a guitar and sing it for the couple and they dance. Dan and Shay then remind everyone they could steal her eventually. Chance says John’s a great coach for breath control. John compliments her higher range. Zoe joins Team Legend.

Ducote Talmage – 20 – Sand In My Boots

He’s got them Dan and Shay vibes, and they turn along with John. He’s got some grit in his voice.

John says he loves the scratch in his voice and it’s a lovely voice to listen to. Dan and Shay say they can help him finish the songs he’s written and he’d be a standout on their team. Chance says it was too pitchy for him. Reba critiqued his pitchy parts. Ducote chooses Team Dan and Shay.

JJ Higgins – 46 – Return To Pooh Corner

Such a good voice. Country but also a uniqueness. Why is no one turning???

JJ told the story of how he and his wife lost their first son at 1 month old, and later had another son, who he would always sing this song to while in the womb. JJ said having the experience to tell his story was all he needed.

Serenity Arce – 16 – This City

Everyone turns almost immediately, but Dan and Shay learn they’ve been blocked. Serenity sounds seasoned compared to the first time she auditioned in Season 21. She went from no chairs to four chairs.

John says he’s proud of her for coming back despite being told no. Dan and Shay say they know John blocked them. Chance compliments her dedication and high register. Reba calls her beautiful and says she could steer her to enhance her qualities. John says her voice sounds like it could be on the radio immediately. Chance says if he was here in Season 21 he would’ve turned. Serenity chooses Team Chance.

Emma Valentine – 20 – Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)

Very clearly a gospel singer. She has a big, strong voice, but nobody turns.

Reba says she has a beautiful voice. Dan and Shay compliment her vibrato but she has pitch issues.

Ryan Coleman – 25 – Ain’t No Sunshine

He’s got a cool, growly voice. Sounds country but could definitely sing other genres. Dan and Shay are the only ones to turn.

Reba says he did a great job on the song and it was different. John says his performance was electric. Chance says there were pitch issues. Dan and Shay say his voice has an identity. Ryan joins Team Dan and Shay.

Zeya Rae – Bellyache

Zeya has a big voice and Reba turns.

Dan and Shay say she’s in good hands with Queen Reba. Zeya joins Team Reba.

AJ Harvey – 25 – Girl From The North Country

Great voice, another unique sound. Chance turns, followed by Dan and Shay. His voice just flows, he’s a natural.

Reba says she loves his voice. John says his voice is lovely. Dan and Shay say the love the richness and guitar and the song selection felt very “AJ.” Chance says he knows soul when he sees it and he’s 100% a fan because he turned first. Dan and Shay remind everyone their chair is slower, and that’s when Chance hits his button again and a siren goes off with “Pick Chance” flashing on the screen. AJ chooses Team Dan and Shay.

Moelle – 29 – Always Remember Us This Way

Wasn’t expecting that deep voice. Love her green blazer. She’s good but there’s something off about it. No one turns.

Dan and Shay say her voice is incredible but there were pitch issues. Reba says she loved her performance. John suggests she watches her vibrato with wavy songs. Chance mentions pitch issues but says he was kicking himself for not pushing.

Elyscia Jefferson – 20 – PYT

Ooh Elyscia just started PYT like a ballad and Reba and Dan and Shay turn almost immediately. Then it speeds up and Chance turns.

Chance says he wants to show the rest of the world who she is. Reba says she’s at ease on stage and she inspires her. John says he loves her laid back vibe and he regrets not turning. Dan and Shay say she’s effortless and they’re a fan. Elyscia chooses Team Reba.

Meet me back here tomorrow night for the final round of Blind Auditions!
