FINNEAS O'CONNELL, BILLIE EILISH
(Disney/Frank Micelotta) FINNEAS O’CONNELL, BILLIE EILISH

Billie Eilish and Finneas won Best Song for “What Was I Made For” from Barbie, beating out Diane Warren for “The Fire Inside.” The veteran songwriter has never won an Oscar outside of a special award presented to her a few years ago.

A rare thing–Kimmel had tie to kill at the end of the show, which ended a few minutes early! An Oscars broadcast than only runs 3 1/2 hours is an extremely rare occurrence.
