David Cook to Play Evert Tennis Classic, Run the LA Marathon for Charity

David Cook has been confirmed to play in this year’s Raymond James and Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic. He played in last year’s classic. The event will take place November 11th-13th.

He’s also set to run his first marathon–the 2012 Honda LA Marathon–on behalf of Acclerate Brain Cancer for a cure. The American Idol Season 7 Idol winner hopes to raise 100K ahead of the race. The Honda LA Marathon takes place in Los Angeles on March 18, 2012

Scotty McCreery dropped by Live with Regis and Kelly this morning to promote his brand new album Clear as Day.

After performing his single, “The Trouble with Girls” he chatted with Regis and Kelly about his whirlwind American Idol journey, and future plans that include performing the National Anthem at game 1 of the World Series.

A few people asked me to put up video from the GAC TV “Introducing Scotty McCreery” Special, so here it is. There’s not much information in here a super-fan wouldn’t know. But, the trip back through Scotty’s childhood, complete with photos and interviews with his family, teachers etc. is pretty fun.
