He made it to the 6 chair challenge last year, but didn’t get the chair. He gets 4 YESes.
Lauren Lovejoy – Why Don’t You Do Right (Peggy Lee)
She says she sees Simon as a lion, Cheryl a beautiful Persian cat, Mel B a panther and Louis a seal. 4 YESes.
Stevie Tennet – I Won’t Let You Go (James Morrison)
He is only 15 and Cheryl isn’t a fan of lowered age limit. He nails the audition. 4 YESes
Starlight – Discipline (Original Song)
Brings presents for the ladies. Wears sunglasses in the room. The song is atrocious and she can’t sing at all. She walks out and returns after Dr. King. Sings “I Will Survive”. Walks out again.
Dr. King – Who They Want (Original Song)
27. Rapper. Terrible song. Deluded.
Raign – Clarity (Zedd)
31 Years old. She is very confident in her artistry. She even went to LA three years ago. She talks and talks. I don’t think Syco would love her attitude. Terrible song choice for audition and it wasn’t a great rendition. Louis says YES, Mel B says NO, Simon says NO, Cheryl says NO. “She would be a nightmare.” says Simon. Then she comes back and wants to sing another song. She still sounds pretty bad in the beginning, but then gets better. Simon says YES.
Janet Grogan – I Can’t Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt)
26, from Dublin. She sings the song to Simon, like he was the only one that matters. 4 YESes
Emily Middlemas – Cher Lloyd (Want U Back)
White girl with guitar. 4 YESes.
Lizzy Pattinson – Feels Like Home (Bonnie Raitt)
Simon thinks she looks familiar to him. She is actually Robert Pattinson’s older sister, but neither she nor the show want to reveal that yet. 4 YESes
Michael Rice – I Look To You (Whitney Houston)
16. Works in fish and chips shop. His voice just isn’t big enough for this song, IMO. But the judges like him and he gets 4 YESes.
Kayleigh Manners – Stay With Me (Sam Smith)
23, from Leeds. Acoustic cover. The judges love her. 4 YESes
Jake Quickenden – All of Me (John Legend) / Say Something (A Great Big World)
25. He got to the judges’ houses in season 9 where Nicole dropped him in favor of James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Rylan Clarke. Louis recognizes him.
He first sings “All of Me”. Eh, his voice is nothing special. Mel B wants him to focus on the lyrics. Simon suggests him to sing “Say Something”. He finally connects to the lyrics and hits some nice notes. 4 YESes
