One Direction launch £2.50 cosmetics range for teen fans… despite their hit single that says girls ‘don’t need make-up!’
Their lyrics include the line ‘don’t need make-up’ but that hasn’t stopped boyband One Direction from capitalising on their female fans’ adulation by launching a cosmetics range.

Despite twittering about their love of unadorned ladies in their hit single What Makes You Beautiful (‘Don’t need make-up to cover up, being the way that you are is enough’, go the lyrics), the teen hearthrobs have unveiled the ‘Little Things’ beauty range, which will sell for pocket money prices.

A collaboration with high street beauty brand MUA, nothing in the purse-friendly collection costs more than £2.50 and the range includes lipsticks, lip gloss, cheek tints and nail polish.

Randy mums are a Payne
They cop a feel of 1D Liam’s bum

HARRY STYLES is no longer ONE DIRECTION’s king of the cougars.

His bandmate LIAM PAYNE is attracting the more senior 1D fans since he became single. The singer, who split from girlfriend DANIELLE PEAZER in May, says he’s teased by fans’ mums.

Liam said: “Mums are the ones you’ve got to watch out for.

“There have been a few incidents in meet-and-greets in America when you’ve been stood next to a mum and she puts her hand on your bum discreetly, doesn’t say a word about it and just walks off.”

Letting off steam: One Direction boost their team spirit with a kickabout ahead of performing in Vancouver
As one of the world’s biggest boy bands it’s not surprising that One Direction need to take time out from their hectic tour schedule.

Band members Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne relaxed with a kickabout on Saturday ahead of their gig in Vancouver, Canada.

The boys showed no sign of pre-concert nerves as they tossed a football around outside the Rogers Arena.

Talk about Spice-y! Matt Cardle and Mel C share a passionate kiss in video for their single Loving You
They seem to have a mutual admiration for each other’s voices, having sung together on a new track, Loving You.

And now Mel C and former X Factor singer Matt Cardle have taken this admiration to a whole new level by sharing a passionate embrace in the video for their new single Loving You.

The stars play estranged lovers in the video, which is set in a near-empty apartment.

Winners Steve Brookstein, Leon Jackson and Matt Cardle axed from X Factor 10th anniversary mash-up video
Steve Brookstein, Leon Jackson and Matt Cardle have been quietly removed from a video to celebrate a decade of The X Factor.

Despite winning the ITV talent show, the trio’s subsequent lack of commercial success has prompted their omission from the anniversary mash-up, which debuted on YouTube on Thursday.

Instead, the remaining series winners and some acts that even made as low as fourth place, such as Cher Lloyd, are celebrated as part of The X Factor legacy.

Simon Cowell is set to return to The X Factor UK as judges will ‘whittle down contestants aboard his luxury yacht’
He quit The X Factor two years ago, but Simon Cowell is set to return as the show goes through a major overhaul following a decline in ratings.

The 53-year-old music mogul vacated his seat on the judging panel in 2010 to focus on The X Factor USA – with his role on the show effectively ruling him out of making a return.

But while he won’t be making a comeback Cowell will play a part in series ten by flying judges Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and the returning Sharon Osbourne out to his luxury yacht in the Mediterranean.

X Backtor
Rejects return in new series

X FACTOR bosses are recycling acts again with no fewer than SIX solo wannabes and groups back on this year’s show.

All of them have already got through to at least the judges’ houses stage in previous series, TV Biz can reveal.

One returning act set to sail through to the live final is Rough Copy.

The soul and pop boy band were forced off the show last year after one of the trio, Nigerian-born Kazeem Ajobe, could not get a visa in time to travel to Vegas for Louis Walsh’s judges’ houses round.

They caused a storm at the auditions with a version of One Direction’s Little Things.

Another hopeful, Terry Winstanley, was last seen at Louis’s judges’ houses round in Barcelona in 2011. He impressed the judges with the Michael Bolton song When I’m Back On My Feet Again.

Irish singer Melanie McCabe is giving it her FOURTH attempt.

She flunked Kelly Rowland’s judges’ houses round in Miami in 2011 and failed to get past the boot camp round last year and in 2008.

Can Simon Cowell bring The X Factor back to its heyday?
Simon Cowell wants former X Factor fans to return to the show this year with memories of it being an old favourite, says Mark Jefferies
Fix scandals, on-screen rows, contestants kicked out over drug use, The X Factor has never been accused of playing it safe before or doing the same thing twice.

But this year, bosses are hoping for some of the fans of the original series’ to come back and watch it again.

That is why I think Simon Cowell has gone for the back-to-basics first round auditions with no audience, and also explains why Sharon Osbourne is back.

I’ve been down to some second round auditions at Wembley Arena this month and although I can’t talk specific details without being scratched to death by Cowell’s army of close female friends, I can write about elements of improvement from last year.

Avicii denies One Direction their fourth Number 1 single
One Direction’s Best Song Ever couldn’t budge Avicii’s Wake Me Up from the top of the Official Singles Chart.

One Direction’s Best Song Ever has failed to knock Avicii’s Wake Me Up off the top of the Official Singles Chart. Avicii today spends a second week at Number 1, denying the 1D boys their fourth chart topper.

Last Sunday, Wake Me Up became the fastest selling single of 2013 so far when nearly 267,000 copies of the superstar Swedish DJ and producer’s track were purchased during its first week on sale. Seven days later, and Wake Me Up is still enjoying stellar sales, shifting an additional 155,000 this week, and outselling One Direction’s Best Song Ever (Number 2) by two copies to one.
