James Arthur compares himself to an “exploited” killer whale and blasts the publicity team behind his tweets
Oh, and he also made a dig at Paul Potts. On the same night. Maybe time to give it a rest, eh Arthur?
On Sunday night James Arthur launched into another one of his infamous Twitter outbursts.

The X Factor winner posted a string of messages where he compared himself to an exploited killer whale and slammed the promo team who are behind some of his tweets.

The outspoken 26-year-old star likened himself to Tilikum – the whale that pulled SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau into its tank and drowned her, and was the subject of the controversial documentary Blackfish.

Speaking in relation to his upcoming mixtape All The World’s A Stage, he posted: “I would like the front cover to be a drawing of the killer whale/Orca from sea world who features in the documentary “Blackfish” TILIKUM.

“Ideally I’d like him to be attacking a crowd of people, lashing out after being exploited. Include my name and the title of the mixtape.”

The Impossible singer, who only just recently took to Twitter to have a moan about lack of radio play, also blasted his promo team, saying they were “embarrassing”.

“I meant no offence”: James Arthur explains tweets about Paul Potts after hitting out at his promo team
The X Factor winner went on another Twitter outburst on Sunday, where he compared himself to an exploited killer whale and slammed his promo team
James Arthur has apologised to Paul Potts after mentioning the singer’s name while slamming his promo team on Twitter.

X Factor winner James let his social media motor-mouth do the talking (again) when he compared himself to an exploited killer whale – before asking fans to send in album artwork showing a whale attacking a crowd.

But, not stopping there, he then slammed his promo team (and in a roundabout way Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts) by writing: “HQ please stop writing things like “we think you would #LOVE This and that” or “everybody #GETDOWN and buy this..” It’s embarrassing.

“Stick to promoting Paul Potts please. Thanks. #LOVE.”

He added: “The job is now going to an actual fan. Who wants the HQ job? #LOVE.”

We can just guess how many requests he got for THAT job.

Paul quickly wrote back: “You’re a talented guy and ur music is great. But you’re not an amateur anymore. Criticising ur promotion team openly on here… isn’t the best idea.”

He added: “Their wages come out of your budget and there will come a time when you need them more than they need u.”

James Arthur fans create ‘oppressed killer whale album artwork’ in response to star’s bizarre remark
He launched into another infamous Twitter outburst on Sunday – and finished by asking fans to send album artwork ideas showing a whale attacking a crowd
After James Arthur launched into another Twitter outburst on Sunday – where he compared himself to an exploited killer whale – we didn’t know quite how to react.

But his ‘Jarmy’ of fans certainly did.

The X Factor winner posted a string of messages where he compared himself to an exploited killer whale and slammed the promo team who are behind some of his tweets.

But the outspoken 26-year-old finished by asking his fans to send in new artwork for his upcoming album All The World’s A Stage.

He tweeted: “I would like the front cover to be a drawing of the killer whale/ Orca from sea world who features in the documentary “Blackfish” TILIKUM.”

“Ideally I’d like him to be attacking a crowd of people, lashing out after being exploited. Include my name and the title of the mixtape.”

Fans have stormed the star’s social media page ever since with some very impressive drawings indeed.

James Arthur: where did it all go wrong? The rise and fall of The X Factor’s Mr Angry
The kind of people who tweet the word “haters” when anyone points out that the singer they like is a dick will be delighted to hear we’re writing about James Arthur again. A man we all thought would turn out to be a dull, over-earnest, but respectably talented X Factor winner has turned out to be a walking morality play about modern celebrity. By his every oafish action, the James Arthur character teaches us that instant fame is a poisoned chalice. But it’s a chalice you’ll keep drinking from to try and get rid of the poisonous taste. James Arthur is making these very public, very stupid mistakes so you don’t have to. Watch and learn from his career so far…

From about 2005, James Arthur began playing in various Middleborough bands with names like Moonlight Drive and Emerald Sky. Every town has bands called that, don’t they? He gigged and self-released CDs and posted music online. THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU WANT A CAREER IN MUSIC

In 2012 James Arthur auditioned for The X Factor THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU WANT A CAREER IN MUSIC AS WOULD SEEM OBVIOUS NOW GIVEN THE EVIDENCE

During the live X Factor shows James Arthur sang a version of LMFAO’s bloody horrible Sexy And I Know It that was completely ripped off a version on YouTube by someone called only1Noah. When people pointed this out, James Arthur got all shitty about it and tweeted “Btw doesn’t everyone know I was putting a spin on Noah’s version? It had 13.something million hits! Was I supposed to state the obvious?” THIS IS NOT HOW TO RESPOND TO AN ACCUSATION OF PLAGIARISM

Ella Henderson stands a good chance of conquering 2014
Main points:

1. We heard Single One recently and hold onto your hats because it is really rather remarkable. It’s a dramatic, stylish belter called ’Ghost’. The song is all about Ella going down to the river (!) to “wash all the pain” and exorcise the ghost of a former beau. Ella co-wrote it with Ryan Tedder, who certainly knows one end of a pop single from the other. The tempo is perkier than you were probably expecting, and it’s a proper move-aside-everyone-here-comes-a-popstar debut single.

2. Single Two and Single Three are both excellent as well. We can’t tell you their names for complicated music business reasons but they are properly big. One of them, a thundering mid-tempo extravaganza, sounds so much like a triumphant X Factor performance that you can almost smell the fireworks. The other is a crunchy, sparkily-produced ballad that everyone will find quite inspiring and emotional. The brief seems to have been ‘smart, modern-sounding and non-boring mid-to-downtempo’, and it works brilliantly.

3. The whole ‘Ella Henderson conquers the charts and leaves everyone else cowering’ campaign is going to kick off next month when ‘Ghost’ goes to radio.

Singing Simon: ‘The X Factor’ Inspires a West End Musical
Many “American Idol” alums, including Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis and “Spamalot’s” Clay Aiken, have performed on Broadway, but there hasn’t been a big-budget “American Idol” musical… yet. Instead, that honor goes to former “Idol” judge Simon Cowell’s other singing show, Britain’s “The X Factor.”

So, would you pay £40 (roughly $70) to see a fake singing Simon on the West End stage? Many British theatergoers did just that on Wednesday night, when “I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical” opened at the London Palladium. And according to several U.K. theater critics, it was sterling well spent.

The X Factor 2014: Simon Cowell set to axe ‘boring’ Bootcamp stage
Simon Cowell is reportedly planning a shake-up for The X Factor 2014 that will see the Bootcamp stage get the axe.

According to The Sun, Cowell is ‘fed up’ with the show’s old format – which has been in place since its inception – and wants to give greater emphasis to the controversial six-chair challenge introduced last year.

Under the proposed idea, the panel will now whittle down the 200-plus acts that get past the auditions without callbacks – possibly by sifting through photos, similarly to sister show Britain’s Got Talent.

After the categories are handed out, the remaining 80 acts will then face the six-chair challenge, where they’ll sing for the chance to take up one of six seats representing places in the Judges’ Houses round.
