Judge Jennifer Lopez notes the intensity of the routine, which features super controlled and precise movements. Ne-Yo calls it “cinematic” and “entertaining.” The judges are so fascinated with the minute, controlled, angular movements, that Derek Hough suggests the trio give them a dance lesson. The judges mirror the choreography perfectly. But the question is, could they keep it up for a full routine! It would be challenging.
Ne-Yo jokes that he felt like he did a “really hard math test.” Jennifer felt that the song came through in the movement. And that although the moves were very linear, there was still a lot of emotion behind it. Derek compliments the trio for creating an entire dance routine around creating shapes. He had never seen anything like it before.
