Singer-songwriter Jax is a queen when it comes to Tik Tok and these days, she films videos alongside all sorts of folks, including her “friend” Derek Hough.
Derek is currently a judge on Dancing with the Stars after serving as a pro-dancer for many years. For a few seasons, he sat on the World of Dance panel with Jennifer Lopez and Ne-You before NBC cancelled the show.
Here, he joins forces with the American Idol season 14 alum for a cute little ditty about how one particular bully teased him in high school for studying ballet. But of course, living well always ends up being the best revenge! Fellow dancer and girlfriend, Hayley Erbert makes a cameo! The last line is the kicker. Take that Brad!
Jax, riding high on her latest single, “Like My Father,” is on the bill with The Chainsmokers, Journey, Gavin DeGraw, We’ McDonald (The Voice) and more for the Never Forget Concert at Jones Beach Theater on August 21. Proceeds benefit Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Jax’s father was a 9/11 first responder left with chronic illnesses afterward.
Derek is gearing up for his “No Limit” fall residency at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas beginning September 20. Hayley will also appear alongside her guy. Additionally Derek is nominated for two Emmys in the choreography category, one nod for DWTS and the other for The Disney Holiday Singalong.
