The Voice’s Holly Forbes Joins America’s Got Talent Alum on Holiday Tour

Holly Forbes left The Voice season 21 competition too soon. But she is not standing still.  She will be joining fellow singing show alum Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. for a series of holiday shows.

The America’s Got Talent season 6 winner announced on social media that Holly will join him on his Home for the Holidays tour. Landau, a native of West Virginia, will embark on a tour of cities in his home state. “I am so honored that she decided to come along this year!” he wrote. Tickets are available now at landaumurphyjr.com. Holly hails from the Eastern Kentucky community of Argillite.

The tour includes five shows: Dec. 10 in Huntington, Dec. 16 in Point Pleasant, Dec. 17 in Parkersburg, Dec. 18 in Clarksburg and Dec. 19 in Lewisburg. More dates may be added.

Landau won America’s Got Talent in 2011 with a crooning style reminiscent of Frank Sinatra and other jazz standards singers. Part of his appeal was that nobody expected the dreadlocked singer to perform jazz.

Holly began The Voice season 21 as the front runner after NBC used her Blind Audition of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” in their promos. She started on Team Kelly Clarkson. Ariana Grande stole her in the Knockouts. And Holly shockingly left the competition at the Top 10, only last week (Nov. 30). Her last performance, part of genre challenge week, was a risky cover of Donna Summers “Last Dance.”
