The Voice Season 17 Begin Taping Blind Auditions June 24
When Adam Levine suddenly quit The Voice two weeks after NBC announced that the entire panel would return for season 17 in the fall, the show quickly filled his seat with veteran coach Gwen Stefani. Producers needed to replace him immediately, as the Blind Audition for the upcoming season were starting in June.
Now, the time as come. The Voice season 17 Blind Auditions will begin taping on Monday June 24 at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. The Voice will film twice a day: Monday June 24, Tuesday June 25, Wednesday June 26 and Thursday June 27. All tapings are waitlisted except for Thursday’s afternoon filming, which is “sold out.” Check out the full schedule at the 1iota website, which is the outfit that seats all of The Voice studio audiences.
Come Monday, keep your eyes peeled for the first peek at the new coaches panel. The Voice season 17 panel includes veteran Blake Shelton, the only coach who has participated in all 17 seasons of the competition. Gwen Stefani previously served on the panel for seasons 7, 9 and 12 in addition to advising on seasons 8 (Team Christina Aguilera) and 10 (Team Blake Shelton). Kelly Clarkson coached seasons 14, 15 and 16 after advising Team Blake during season 2 and serving as Knockouts advisor for season 13. John Legend is the relative newbie, returning to his seat after a rookie season 16. He also advised Team Adam on season 12.
During the week, contestant names, news regarding new twists or design changes, and more could possibly leak, so stay tuned!
The Voice Summer 2o19 Open Call Dates
Additionally, open calls will take place across the country in several cities this summer. The Voice producers are currently looking for singers to compete in the winter cycle, which will likely premiere in February 2020. Casting directors auditioned hopefuls in Chicago on Saturday, June 22. The Voice has also scheduled events for Los Angeles on June 29 and Atlanta on July 27.
The producers will also see hopefuls by appointment only in the following cities: Portland, Oregon, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Houston, Texas, Fayetteville, Arkansas and Boise, Idaho. Appointment only auditions have already taken place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
